You can report a concern by emailing the club’s safeguarding address. Please include your name and contact details, who the concern relates to, what happened, when and where it happened, and whether anyone may be at immediate risk.
What happens after you report a concern
The safeguarding lead will review the information, consider any immediate risks and decide what action is needed. This may include speaking with those involved, recording the concern securely, seeking advice from CMAA, or referring the matter to the police, children’s services or adult safeguarding services where appropriate.
We will only share information with people who need it in order to protect someone or respond properly to the concern. We cannot promise complete confidentiality where someone may be at risk.
What if the concern involves a safeguarding lead?
If your concern relates to Paul Turner, report it to Chris Haggan. If it relates to Chris Haggan, report it to Paul Turner.
If the concern relates to both safeguarding leads, or you do not feel able to report it to either of them, you may contact CMAA or the appropriate statutory safeguarding service directly.
Other ways to report a concern
You do not have to report a safeguarding concern through the club. You may contact CMAA, Lancashire County Council or the police directly where appropriate.

Concerns relating to the club, an instructor or martial arts safeguarding may be reported through CMAA’s safeguarding service.
Concern about a child
Contact Lancashire Children’s Services if you are worried that a child or young person may be experiencing abuse, neglect or another safeguarding risk.
